So I got this jacket for a cosplay. It’s perfect in every way, only one problem: It’s dark brown. I’m talkin’ dark chocolate; saturated soil in Photoshop. What I need it to look like is a nice, normal tan. Call it sandy, light brown, whatever. Tan. And this jacket was kind of really expensive. My supplier (mother) went ahead and ordered the dark brown jacket online without passing it by me, thinking it would work. However, the TAN jacket is one of the most recognizable features of the coplay.
So here’s where you come in:
Is there a way, be it dusting or spray painting, to turn a very dark brown leather to a tan leather without completely ruining it? I also need to sew on some white fur and add duct tape. If a method you suggest might seriously damage the jacket if done wrong, PLEASE tell me! The thing was expensive! Thank you in advance~
